I got the full set of heavy Imperial armour from joining the Legion, but I've replaced my Imperial Helmet with an Imperial Officer's Helmet (which has better stats) and replaced my Imperial Bracers with a Steel Imperial Gauntlets (because of better stats too, though I'm a bit doubtful whether it is in anyway related to Imperial armour because of the existence of 'Nordic' Steel Gauntlets, which may mean the 'Imperial' in the name may refer to the race instead of Legion's.
I'm currently role-playing as an Imperial Legionnaire and I intend to wear imperial armour for the rest of that current character.
